One day hoping to end up on Fifth Avenue in New York City, Third Avenue is only a couple of steps away from following their dreams of making it in the big smoke. The three-part band, made up of lead vocalist, Reid Benseman; drummer, Jake Richter and pianist, Bonnie Allen, discovered each other through the Wellington music scene. Influenced by the likes of Alan Stone, Sam Smith and Travis Barker, the band would define their style as “pop-infused funk paired with a love for ballads”. Third Avenue all share the collective goal of creating an emotional kind of pop that connects with us authentically so that their audience can relate to it on a deeper level. Bonnie, Jake & Reid seek their song writing inspiration from the everyday trials, tribulations and lessons in order to musically convey the emotional rollercoaster of navigating their way through life.
