Central Hawkes Bay

The MonotoneNZ are a 5 piece band based in Waipawa, Central Hawkes Bay Taking on mostly rock music mixed with a few other things from the 1960s to contemporary with the odd original thrown in from time to time. Playing pubs, parties and community events since around 2018 in Central Hawkes Bay. We like our 'Mostly music to dance to' dynamic approach. Brought together by fate and trickery, work colleagues at the time Steve on guitar and Steve on drums had a shared interest in music, jamming in a garage in rural CHB, they tricked guitarist Paddy into joining, soon after Glynn also on guitar but quickly converted to bass with a bit more trickery. The icing on the cake was the late arrival of Harry on guitar (yes another one) and with some added fantastic vocal skills we are now what we are. We can bring our own sound desk and all the necessary front of house PA equipment. A drunk man at the Sanctuary Sounds Festival campfire at 6:30am once said... "There's nothing monotone.. about the MonotoneNZ".
