Stage Performance & Industry Knowledge

This week, we had the privilege of hosting two free mentoring sessions focused on stage performance and industry knowledge – and what a turnout it was.

Presented by Hawke’s Bay Music Hub and made possible with funding from Grassroots Trust and the Tasman Smith Trust, the sessions brought together three industry heavyweights – Boh Runga, Peter Urlich and Rikki Morris – to share straight-talking advice, behind-the-scenes stories, and honest answers to the questions our local artists and managers actually wanted asked.

Across both events, the response was fantastic – emerging artists working out how to own the stage, managers backing someone else’s career, and students just starting to think about a future in music all showed up and got amongst it. The room was full, the questions kept coming, and the advice landed exactly the way we hoped it would.
