GRAYS ROAD is a three-piece instrumental progressive rock band from Hawke's Bay, New Zealand.
Blending atmospheric textures, dynamic arrangements and intricate rhythmic interplay, the band creates expansive instrumental music that draws influence from progressive rock and metal while maintaining a strong focus on melody, mood and storytelling.
Having spent several years refining their sound and developing original material, Grays Road combines technical musicianship with a commitment to powerful live performance. Their music moves between delicate ambient passages, driving grooves and heavy, cinematic climaxes, creating an immersive listening experience without the need for vocals.
The band have played multiple festivals around the north Island, and though yet to officially release music, in early 2026 were selected for the UpStage live recording initiative at Toitoi Hawke's Bay Arts and Events Centre, capturing their first professionally filmed live performance. (Video TBA).
