Established in 2019 by the Backline Charitable Trust, we want to promote local music by connecting artists with opportunities to entertain and advance their careers.

We want to reflect the diversity and quality of new and established musicians producing original music in Hawke’s Bay. Each year, we ask artists to submit their song for an incredible chance to be featured alongside established acts and showcase their music in a limited edition vinyl record.
